FORMER KREHALON TEAM OF SPECIALISTS JOINS OERLEMANS PLASTICS

A team of six Krehalon packaging specialists continue their career at Oerlemans Plastics in the Netherlands, a member of the OPACKGROUP. The producer is specialized in the production of sustainable recyclable barrier (shrink)films and packaging. Krehalon Netherlands stopped their production this summer.

Oerlemans Plastics is one of the seven companies from the OPACKGROUP, a group factories which are specialized in producing a broad product portfolio of flexible plastic and paper packaging. Each company is specialized in different product-market combinations.

With the strengthening of the former Krehalon team, Oerlemans Plastics offers specialized expertise in the field of barrier films and barrier shrink films. In addition, the team will present various applications of the recyclable Optilayer barrier film in the market. The team consists of Michael van Dijk, Cosmas Hoos, Eddy Janssen, Rolf Kesteloo, Werner Rist and Chris Vosmeijer. With years of accumulated knowledge of food industry partners with global markets, the team will use this experience in promoting internationally the packaging innovations developed at the OPACKGROUP.

Product specialist Rolf Kesteloo: “We as a team are very happy to have the opportunity to support and advise customers with flexible packaging solutions which are designed for current and new legislations. The OPACKGROUP invested in new technologies and is ready for the future!” In addition to the strengthening of the specialist team, the manufacturer has also acquired various test equipment and sealing machines from Krehalon in order to optimally test barrier films.

The OPACKGROUP has been investing in the sustainability of its product range for decades. The family owned company with more than 740 employees produces customer-specific, flexible packaging and films of high quality. New packaging concepts are continuously developed through extrusion, lamination, flexoprinting and converting at ten locations in the Netherlands. The manufacturer consists of seven subsidiaries: Fardem Packaging, Flexpak, Oerlemans Plastics, Oosterwolde Plastic Industry, Perfon, Plasthill and Stempher. Unique are the two independent business units OPACKGROUP Technology Center (OTC) and OPACKGROUP Repro Center (ORC), which are responsible for research and reprography respectively. Together they supply a wide range of packaging and film product solutions.
